Christmas break

FAU wishes all students, staff, guests and friends happy holidays and a good start to the New Year!
From December 22, 2025 to January 6, 2026 inclusive, FAU will take a Christmas break to save energy. The service facilities of the university administration, such as the Student Advisory Services and the Examination Offices, will remain closed during this time. Lectures will be suspended from December 19, 2025, until January 6, 2026. .
Opening hours of the libraries
All libraries will be closed from December 24 to 26, December 31, January 1 and January 6.
The Main Library in Erlangen (lending, book return, information, reading rooms) will be open from December 22 to 23 and from December 27 to 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Main Library will return to normal opening hours on Friday 2 January.
The Economic and Social Sciences Branch Library in Nuremberg will be open from December 22 to 23 and from December 27 to 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The library will be open from January 2 to January 5 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
All other libraries and the reading room for manuscripts will be closed from December 22 through January 6.
