Equal opportunities
The realisation of equal opportunities for all university members is a central cross-sectional task at FAU. It is a priority in all instances, committees and commissions, as well as at all planning and decision-making levels of the university.
To ensure that equal opportunities in the sense of gender equality, family-friendliness and protection against discrimination can actually take effect, FAU strives for a gender- and diversity-sensitive as well as family-friendly university and academic culture.
The following offices serve as points of contact:
- FAU’s central Office for Gender and Diversity (German) coordinates the measures for equal opportunities.
- FAU’s family service aims at supporting FAU members with the compatibility of family and career.
- The women’s representatives of FAU (German) which serves to promote the equality between women and men.
- The office of the women’s representatives at Faculty of Engineering which offers different services for girls, female students, PhD candidates and young researchers
FAU and the Faculty of Engineering offer through the central office for gender and diversity and the office of the women’s representative of the Faculty of Engineering the following (among others):
